Branding

Building a new brand

Onyx specialise in preparing and creating surfaces for a wide range of environments from airports to architects studios.

The original name ‘Acryflor’ was lacking ambition and restricted the companies growth focussing on 'acrylic' and 'flooring',  our new name, Onyx, takes inspiration from the naturally hard, beautiful stone and has a robust sound that complements the brands new direction. The new identity complements the name and appeals to both trade and commercial markets.

The roll-out was far and wide: a content managed website, literature design, livery, product packaging and POS. The new brand has allowed Onyx to approach new markets and establish themselves as a trusted service.

Website

Content Managed Website

Designed to align with the new brand and to capture a company in constant motion, the content managed website has flexed constantly during development and post launch as the company's offer has continued to change.

With a huge, diverse and ever growing range of products and services offered for sale or lease, the flexibility of the Gendall CMS has come into it's own - allowing Onyx to select from a wide range of page templates and to customise each of these further with inserts including slideshows, promos, swatch viewers, tables, pull quotes, various image sizes and iconographic descriptions.

Trade promotions and marketing

Designed to promote each of the new markets Onyx are targeting, the trade promotions use the visual identity and imagery to bring the lead products and contract services to new markets. Each promotion is colour coded and implements the icon system Gendall have created to help view the product features at-a-glance.

Packaging & Livery

The trade and contract markets are key to the development of Onyx, our packaging concepts provide a simple but informative platform for the trade offers. The icons provide quick product properties and colour coding help differentiate the applications.
