Tess Gendall

Managing Director

Tess oversees and works together with the Gendall team on all aspects of a project from discovery to creative direction and project delivery. She established Gendall Design in 1986 and has developed the company to its current capability. With a wealth of experience in graphic, brand and publication design, Tess has been responsible for extensive brand work for the Eden Project, Away Resorts, the Cornwall Brand and the National Trust. Her work has been also recognised in the Marketing Design Awards.

Laurence Jarrett Kerr

Design Director

Laurence returns to Falmouth after various gigs in London and Bristol agencies. Graduating in Creative Advertising at Falmouth, his work in advertising and design has spanned eclectic brands and forms of media. He was creative lead for Oral-B, targeting both consumers and professionals, then working his way up to Creative Group Head. He’s worked in advertising, packaging and in-store marketing for many FMCG brands owned by Coca-Cola, P&G, Unilever and Danone. He’s as passionate about creativity and sustainability as he is geeky about strategic marketing.

Russell Jones

Digital Director

Russell originally studied at LCP and has over 15 years experience in creating and developing online brands. Russell brings a proficient knowledge to all things digital, having worked with startups to blue-chips with projects ranging from eCommerce, health and wellbeing applications and web & mobile apps. Clients worked with include, Lufthansa, Pepsi, NHS, The National Trust, Away Resorts, Highgrove House, Lakelovers, and the Environment Agency. Email: russell@gendall.co.uk

Dave Pentin

Digital Developer

Having studied Graphic Information Design at Falmouth and 3D Animation at Bournemouth, Dave has worked with an impressive client list including Philips, Microsoft and the Met Office. Dave took 10 years out to run a ski chalet in the Alps, where he also developed a chalet rental system from scratch which now manages over 100 properties.

He has a deep love of nature, landscapes, photography, cinema and art and is enjoying being back next to the sea again.

Tom Hazledine

Senior Digital Web Developer

Originally trained as a musician, Tom now specialises in creating user-friendly, intuitive, highly accessible and compliant web interfaces. When he’s not making websites he likes to tinker with sensors, circuit boards and the Internet of Things. He’s also retained a link to his musical past by building interfaces for the web audio API (including a fully-functional synthesizer built using JS, HTML and CSS).

Luke Tamblyn

Project Manager

A North Cornwall native who’s now a South Cornwall advocate. Luke now finds himself at Gendall Design having spent the last 6 years enjoying agency life in Bristol. Working with the likes of Coca-Cola, Nestlé Confectionery and P&G, Luke thrives on building solid relationships, helping nurture and develop long lasting partnerships with many a key client. A logical thinker, who hates unnecessary complexity, it’s no wonder Luke loves the simple things in life.
