Wild Food Summer Party

When you live this close to the sea it's nice to know a bit more about it. So for our Summer Party we had Matt Vernon of Cornish Wild Foods come and give us a foraging class on Gylly beach. Heading out at low tide he gave us an introduction to seaweeds and other coastal plant delights such as Alexander seeds and Rock Samphire. We were blown away by some of the flavours, and even more impressed with the spread put on afterwards which included pickled Samphire with homemade cheese and wild cocktails. He then cooked up a storm on an open fire with foraged greens and mackerel. It was also a good reminder of how lucky we are to be living and working with so much inspiration all around us.
