Wolf-whistling, music and interpretive dance - all in the name of Worm Charming

Our Founder and CEO, Tess, has a connection to the local community like no other. Not only is she a board member and volunteer at the Falmouth Food Coop, cooking meals that are delivered to those in the community that need them, her youngest Daughter, Georgia, is the mastermind behind the annual Worm Charming Championships held in Falmouth every year.

“All I really want to do is make people go ‘huh!’ and have a good time.”

And she delivered exactly that. So much so, that this year’s event has been covered in articles across news sites including The Guardian, Metro, The Mirror (click for video) and radio interviews with Times Radio and CBC Canada.

It goes without saying that 2023’s event was an incredible success, an appropriate reward for the hard work put in by everyone involved.

Beyond the media coverage, one of the biggest rewards this year is having the winner of ‘most worms’ from the local community in Falmouth. Enjoy the pictures below courtesy of Harriet Gendall and do visit Georgia’s website to explore her works and explorations in many art forms.
