Campsites.co.uk was launched in July 2015 with a vision to make it easy to find and book great camping, glamping and touring sites across the UK. It is now the second largest, and fastest growing, online travel agent (OTA) in the UK outdoor holiday market.

We worked with Campsites to evolve their brand to match up to the ambition and trajectory that the company had been taking and reflect more than just the physical world of camping, but also the emotional connection to experiencing the great outdoors.

An all encompassing brand

A key practical consideration was to avoid being specific in terms of the type of camping. Although it needed to represent camping it also needed to be abstract enough to capture glamping, touring, camping and motorhomes. After much iteration, a solution was found in a linear journey roundel that hinted at tents through a simple triangle shape but then transitioned between camping types through the animation sequence.
