Round up of some of Gendall’s work in 2017
We've had a very busy year with some great highlights. Here are just a few...
Throughout the year we were busy with the Eden Project's campaigns, we've had a lot of fun conceiving these campaigns and rolling them out across all media, from posters to social media and radio.
The biggest campaign was their summer campaign. We created the CGI visual and then activated it. He even appeared in inflated form in the streets of Truro and you could put his helmet on in service stations.
We then brought the campaign to life across paid social, outdoor and press. One highlight is the Facebook Canvas page which really allowed for a more immersive experience, delivering more content including video and images.
Every year we update the National Trust regional guides for the South West region. In 2017 we gave a bit of refresh and brought it bang into line with the National Trust brand guidelines.
We continue to be strategic, design and technical partners with Lakelovers, we have been upgrading and improving their site throughout the year.
Another great print project is the magazine for super yacht builders, Pendennis. They release 'Voyage' once a year and it's always packed full of amazing photos and awesome locations. We felt like we did it justice with clean lines and lots of white space.
The challenge for Away Resorts this year was to deliver a personal experience through print. We produced a magazine for each of their six parks and then, working with Burn Media, we delivered personalised inside and outside covers. If you're a family you'll see different photos than if you were a couple. We also created these CGI covers to deliver the proposition of "Your world away" - that there is something for everyone.
We were asked to create a timeline at Stourhead for the National Trust. With banking being at the heart of the property we can farthing coins running through the dates and events of the timeline, we also installed a money tree so kids can have as much as fun as those seeking lots of information.
With our outdoor experience with Eden Project we were asked to create a bunch of bus stop posters for the National Trust. Using their photo library we put together this memorable and peaceful set.
We've really been going hammer and tong for our holiday cottage clients and we've delivered a number of Wordpress websites on the Tabs booking system. Cornish Gems have their own bespoke system so we worked with them on wireframes and visual design to bring the site inline with their new brand guidelines and deliver a more premium experience.
A huge project was finished in 2017 for West Cornwall Pasty. Traditionally they sell from their own retail, but now you can find them in service stations and also in some super markets. We worked on all their packaging and are now turning our attention to their shopper marketing. Watch this space.
One of favourite National Trust properties is Coteton Fishacre with its mix of art deco, arts and crafts and jazz age influence. We designed this welcome leaflet for them, using patterns found around the house to bring it to life.
