Getting businesses ON board

Surfers Against Sewage are a community dedicated to the protection of oceans, waves, beaches and wildlife. Since it’s inception in 1990 SAS have grown to become one of the UK’s most active and successful environmental charities. Following a wave of people and businesses wanting to do more to help save the oceans SAS renamed and evolved their businesses membership programme from the 250 Club to The Ocean Network and needed a rebrand of the scheme. We helped create an identity and supporting materials centred around bold, passionate statements that put the Ocean Network at the centre of the conversation.

The team at Gendall were fantastic at producing the initial concepts, and then evolving them into an inspiring package of designs, communications and core assets. They’ve ensured that the Ocean Network could be the best it could be and they’re a pleasure to work with.

Putting the Ocean Network at the centre of the conversation

Our concept was simple. The initials ‘O N’ together are flexible and action-orientated, not only as the word ‘on’ but also within words and statements.
We explored multiple statements and facts that were compelling and thought provoking, all containing the letters ‘on’. This not only created a verbal brand identity but also strategically put’s the Ocean Network at the centre of the conversation about protecting our oceans.

A repertoire of facts and information

The added value behind the membership pack was to provide members with more than just information. We wanted to provide a resource for championing the cause for protecting our oceans. Facts, figures, posters, social templates holding various messages that demonstrated the reality and urgency of what
we all can do to help save our oceans.
